Promises made to the electorate and broken are inexcusable, but they are par for the course in modern politics. They must be remembered and recorded and the politicians and the party punished at the next election box. (Personal Declaration). In reading Isabel Hardman’s book, it is clear that our MP’s of all parties have a very difficult and challenging job to do with them being unable to please all of the people, all of the time. The great majority of our MP’s are honest, honourable, hard-working and mostly frustrated. If the current system of Government (i.e. the two-party system) were changed, it really might help them and our great British Institution, the Houses of Parliament.
